@candycls you mean in this century? (just kidding).

  2. candycls says:

Thanks for this video. I haven’t used a curling iron since I was a kid. (This was before they were electric!) Can you imagine standing over a gas stove heating up a curling iron? The good old days…not.

Aww, you poor thing! There’s not many household injuries that are much worse than a burn. So glad you got something to take care of it quickly. (maybe u could share that with us viewers?) Thanks again for the tutorial Amy, you are truly an inspiration! xo God bless!

great hair. Love that curling iron. I have short hair and use a blow dryer but when I’m going out for the eve, I usually stick a few curls in it. thanks for showing. so fun.

amy…oh my god, your the first guru who shows this curling iron. I have the one inch one and i have to say..it’s the BEST curling iron ever (and I’ve tried a bunch of them).
I love T3…it’s a bit pricey, but i was lucky i got it at marshalls a while ago for real cheap.

This makes me want to grow my hair out!!

  7. wowhornby says:

I love the new lighting! We can see everything so well. Thanks!

@kalipaus2 be very careful. there are a lot of argan product scams. I am paying more for derm organic products, but they are well worth it. I have switched from evil pantene pro-v to Derm Organic shampoo which contains no sulfates (detergents). I also use their hair masque. Honestly, I love it. Their things smell great and make my hair soft.

Hair is very stressful for me, but I’m happy with this product, overall.

@TobyMcfarland Did I tell you my husband had to rush me to the cvs pharmacy with my finger in a glass of water.. as I had burned it accidentally while doing my hair with this thing! I bought a spray and a cream (zinc) and it healed my finger qucikly.. but i was walking in the pharmacy with my finger in a glass of water.. LOL..

  10. kalipaus2 says:

@honeypennyful ha hah a.. thank you for feeling the pain. Luckily my hair is not that long.. i am sure those who have longer hair will have to hold the curling iron longer.. xoxo

  11. kalipaus2 says:

@Voyeur53 that’s great if you are happy with the velcro rollers.. i bought them but never got to use them.. do you spray the hair with something after you put the velcros on? try also the curling iron, you may end up getting used to it.. xoxo

  12. Voyeur53 says:

Your hair is so thick and gorgeous! I’ll have to get out my curling iron. I haven’t used it in years. I have been using velcro rollers and I love them! You don’t need any pins to keep them in your hair.

  13. honeypennyful says:

Lovely, gorgeous! Definitely makes you look ten yrs younger! My arms were hurting for you….lol….xoxo

  14. Perdnee says:

    Lovely hair Amy.

  15. TobyMcfarland says:

Just finished watching the entire vid, and you did an amazing job! So beautiful. First time I tried curling my hair with the curling iron I singed the top of my ear, lol, needless to say, I am a lot more careful now when I do it! Thanks Amy, this is well worth the watch. xoxo Nona

  16. TobyMcfarland says:

Laugh? At you? You’re gorgeous Amy and I’ve learned from YT gurus, that if you don’t take risks sometimes, you end up going nowhere! I watched Amarixe do her hair curling tut and tried this look, thought it would never work on my 52 year old hair lol, but it turned out beautiful! Since watching YT tutorials, I’ve bought hot curlers, drugstore curlers that stay in your hair without pins, and a 1 and a hal barrel curl.iron. They work so nice. Thanks for doing this tut Amy, you’re so encouraging!

  17. kalipaus2 says:

@BluegrassMaddie come on I am sure your hair is beautiful and in good shape. I must say that I used to be high maintenance, going blonde for over 10 years, but finally I have come to accept my natural color, and as long as I can cover the white hair I am happy, I add a bit of red sometimes.. and that’s easy.. and I do it all myself.. even the hair cut. why not? Good luck with your trials. Send me a photo of your hair once it is done.. xoxo

  18. BluegrassMaddie says:

I am still in process of growing my hair from a super short cut I wore for years. I have also returned to my natural color, huge difference. I have a lot of fun playing with my hair, hot rollers, 3barrel curling iron, velcro rollers, magnet rollers… its still up on the rollers, will sit under hair dryer for 20 minutes then we shal see. haha. I only wish for luxurious hair such as yours. xoxo M

  19. kalipaus2 says:

@BluegrassMaddie When I was 17 I used to use rollers and sleep with them.. Also I remember my grandmother taking me to the hairdresser as a child of 6 or 7 years old and then the hairdresser used a curling iron at that time on my hair. So how did your hair end up? do you like the transformation?

  20. BluegrassMaddie says:

Too funny Amy, I sat down this morning at my computer with my bag of rollers in hand and clicked this video… Ahhhh my aching arms!!! xoxo M…Absolutely love your hair.

  21. kalipaus2 says:

@MsRazamataz That’s is how I got interested myself.. after watching videos and seeing the things you can do… at first I only had the straightening iron, which apparently we can also use to curl, which is not too practical for me (to use it as a curling iron),i use that one to straighten my hair and this one to curl it. Give it a try you may like the results. xoxo

  22. kalipaus2 says:

@2516zina Yes you are right, it does look bouncy.. :0) the fun thing is that it took me only 15 minutes to complete it.
    xoxox

  23. kalipaus2 says:

@syn7000 Thank you, this is something you could also do with your hair.. If I remember correctly, it is long and gorgeous. xoxo Hope you are having a great week end!

  24. kalipaus2 says:

@wowhornby I bought Argan oil from Sally’s beauty salon a while ago, but I was not too crazy about it, so my husband is using it since then, I do like the NEIL GEORGE oil, it seems ot be working fine. Before that I used Farouk silk oil which was also good.. What kind of shampoos do you use? I hope not one that is full of detergents. Right now there is a sale on Redken if you want take a look (at purebeauty) stores..

  25. MsRazamataz says:

Love this look on you, will defo get the bigger iron & give it a go ;-) )

  26. christinazoubos says:

  27. DimensionalBeauty says:

Wow, your hair does look great!! Which it always looks really healthy, but this is impressive!! Also, I can't wait to get the naked palette. Also, which kit of the sigma brush kits would you recommend for a first time purchaser? Thanks!

  28. 33 says:

Conduction and convection are very different. Although they are both methods of heat transfer, and they both transfer heat directly, they greatly differ. Conduction is the process that transfers heat energy from one object to another through direct contact. Convection is the process that shifts heat energy through diffusing molecules. An example of conduction is when you touch a hot curling iron.

The curling iron transfers heat energy to your hand through direct contact. An example of convection is when you pour hot water into a pot of cold water and the molecules diffuse. As the cold water moves to the bottom of the pot, it pushes the hot water towards the top of the pot. The molecules diffuse and eventually create a pot filled with warm water, instead of cold and hot water. That is the differance between conduction and convection.

  29. Chelsie says:

i agree your hair is gorgeous, i wouldnt do much to it, maybe some full bangs.

  30. haileybutton33 says:

  31. The thing says:

get the ironing bourd out and iron it with a proper iron! :]

  32. John says:

A curling video game? Wow. B I've gotta see you do this in person. not the video game. are you competing? I gotta get to DC and check it out. maybe even toss a rock myself.

  33. robin says:

Does flat ironing count? If i had either naturally beachy waves or pin straight hair i would be in 7th heaven but i have an odd combination of the two. I really do not like flat ironing. So time consuming

  34. Ivy says:

Ha! Very nearly, the dress that I lugged across the Atlantic and planned to wear was STAINED (another story), and it was a 45 minute drive to the wedding. I only just managed to dry my hair and iron the other dress (Simon: “I don't know how to iron a dress!”) I brought before we had to leave. Our hotel in Birmingham was also 45 minutes away from the wedding, so we couldn't go there first, therefore I had to change in the cloak room and somehow do something with my hair using only 4 bobbie pins and some hair spray. Hence, the flyaway strands. Also, there was a cricket match going on when we arrived.
